Ramendra Kumar

My parents named me Ramendra Kumar (probably their way of getting back at me for coming out at the wrong time). Fortunately there is a Haiku version available – Ramen.

I have three obsessions – my wife Madhavi, my daughter Ankita and my son Aniket and one passion - my writing. I have dabbled in satire, short stories, novels and poems with varying degrees of success (or failure!) and finally zeroed in on children’s literature.

My repertoire includes 13 books in English and 8 translations in various Indian languages, apart from one in Sinhala. Right now I am the editor of two websites devoted to children : www.BoloKids.com and www.kidscorner.in
