Books are in one way unacknowledged friends of the human race.
They act some times like friends in need thus guiding us as stars in the sky.
They inject us needed doses of philosophy in what ever stage it needs be.
To build moral characters in human minds good books act actively.
They mend our ways and protect our honesty and integrity.
Are all books do the same welfare activities?
Some times a big NO will be the answer.
Some books may spread nets to drag you to the obscene and at times inciting nature. They instead of helping may destroy our cultural heritage and moral foundations. Some books may inject fanatism in our hearts thus making us to draw cudgels against other co-religions.
So we must select good books and read them . Some people buy lots of books but don't concentrate more on reading them. Thus they become just ornamental and become objects in show cases.
Books should strive hard to put us on right path and pave ways for the development of our thinking process. After advent of electronic and print media the reading habit undoubtedly is on the verge of decline.
Some still ascertain that the above impression is truly wrong.
The soaring prices of books some suggest has also contributing its might to the so called disaster. But some say a firm no to this theory stating that the books that are readable are available in second hand stalls, after being sold away by readers who read them to their satisfaction.. there may be a small percentage of readers who kept themselves away from this reading habit but not many. Lakhs and lakhs of books in various languages are seeing the day 's light . book exhibitions held at various important cities and towns are also trying hard to keep the reading public in tact.
Books on humour give us the best medicine for our sick features. Books of national leaders give us necessary strength to dedicate our selves to the beloved country. Books of science and of technical nature will update the knowledge of the people who evince interest in the respective fields.
